Industry Update: Oticon Intent Hearing Aid

Danish manufacturer Oticon have advanced its previous technology with its new platform, Intent, that utilises AI to steer its technology.

New Design of Oticon Intent

The new design is slightly shorter than previous models, ideal for those who prioritise discretion. Additionally, it boasts Oticon's smallest Bluetooth receiver in canal hearing aid to date.

Oticon has replaced the rocker switch found on the Oticon Real with a single button on the back of the hearing aid.

The Oticon Intent comes equipped with a brand new chip called Sirius, featuring three key components for enhanced speech clarity in noisy environments.

Artificial Intelligence in Hearing Aids

Firstly, Oticon employs an improved deep neural network. Using AI, the hearing aids learn to recognise your surroundings and prioritise speech sounds, providing better access to speech in various listening environments.

Speech Clarity in Background Noise

Oticon's noise reduction features are designed to help you follow and engage in conversations, even in challenging listening situations like restaurants. The hearing aids continuously analyse your environment and deliver the most relevant sounds, enhancing speech clarity.

4D Sensor Technology

Oticon has introduced motion sensors that monitor conversational activity, head and body movement, and environmental noise. These hearing aids are the first to recognise changes in your needs and adjust settings accordingly, improving speech comprehension by 15%.

Imagine being in a restaurant, where this 4D sensor technology shines. Previous technology would have reacted the same in all scenarios, whereas Oticon Intent adapts to each situation based on conversations, movement, and noise levels.

Suitability of Oticon Intent

Regardless of your degree of hearing loss, Oticon Intent can be customised to meet your needs. High Peak Hearing will determine the most suitable configuration based on your hearing test results. The receivers are interchangeable, and the device is available in four different technology levels, with Intent 1 being the most advanced (Diamond Level).
